VFE Electrical Engineers are licensed professional engineers (PE) and have extensive industrial, commercial, design, construction, and failure analysis experience. Opinions formed are based upon the facts learned and analyzed during a systematic investigation, augmented by extensive training and expertise in specialized areas.
VFE Electrical Engineers also assist in a multi-disciplined approach to the fire investigative process addressing complex technical issues employing accepted methodology. Extensive fire scene experience permits a thorough documentation and analysis of electrical equipment and its relationship to the fire.
In support of subrogation or liability defense cases, electrical evidence recovered from the fire scene is examined and/or tested in the laboratory. Other typical assignments include shock/electrocution analysis, illumination/visibility studies, lightning damage evaluations, switchgear failures and more.
